Adopting
a comprehensive approach to workgroup and enterprise
printing, Kyocera provides uniformity of device
drivers and utilities across their broad product line.
This approach is beneficial for both Administrators
and clients alike, since it reduces management burden
and user learning curves. The result? A more fluid document
workflow and a more efficient workplace.
KX
Drivers for Windows
When evaluating new printing equipment, a major IT related
topic is the print driver. Some of the issues that need
to be addressed are; compatibility with their operating
systems, a driver that supports the PDL their users
require, distribution, and training. The Kyocera
KX Print driver addresses these concerns. The KX Driver
supports Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP. All available
PDLs are included in the print driver so the user just
needs to select the PDL from the driver settings. No
matter if you are using Windows 95 or Windows XP; utilize
PostScript or PCL; distribution and training are simplified
because the KX Driver appears the same on all operating
systems.
- Common
driver - One Driver for all Kyocera Products.
- User
Friendly GUI Interface - Users can see exactly what
features are selected.
- Complete
print control over the device from the desktop - Print
covers and inserts, adjust quality and resolution,
select paper size and layout.
- Electronic
job storage capabilities with optional HDD (e-MPS)
- Temporary/Permanent storage of print jobs, document
storage in Virtual Mailboxes, and secure printing.
- Mac
Support
- PPD's
are supplied on the software library CD enabling complete
print control over your document in OS10.x, 9.x and
8.x environments. Add covers, duplex, edge staple
or saddle stich with a few clicks of your mouse.
Linux/UNIX
Support
The
monochrome and colour Copier/MFP's and network Printers
are all fully functional in the Linux and UNIX print
environments. You can download drivers for CUPS (Common
UNIX Printing System) printing. Kyocera's partnership
with Codehost is ideal for more advanced Linux/UNIX
support.
IBM
iSeries (AS/400)
Kyocera Copier/MFP's and network printers are ideal for
handling the paper intensive demands for the AS/400
server environment. Whether printing in a front office
or back office location you can output at full engine
speed through SCS printing protocol for fast job turnaround
times.
Citrix
MetaFrame
MetaFrame
XP's ability to centrally manage application on a server
enables businesses to consolidate resources, enhance
upgrading of systems and can lower server management
costs. Fully functional in the Citrix MetaFrame environment,
the KX Driver allows you to access all device features
and take full advantage of Kyocera's legendary
low Total Cost of Ownership.
As
an alliance member of Citrix, all Kyocera's printing
devices are certified by Citrix to operate in this space.
SAP
Kyocera's broad range of monochrome and colour Copier/MFPs
and network printers are ideal for the SAP R/3 environment.
Device types enable users to access the majority of
printing features, including duplexing, collation, stapling
and more.
PRESCRIBE
Kyocera's native Printer Description Language (PDL), PRESCRIBE
is software and platform independent and is ideal for
solving unique and complex printing applications. Included
as part of the printing system, PRESCRIBE is also a
cost-effective approach to forms and letterhead printing.
(Click
here to see Forms Solutions brochure in .pdf format).
- Print
forms and letterhead on demand
- Store
forms, letterhead on the printer
- Eliminate
pre-printed forms from inventory
- Instantly
make changes to forms
- Reduce
forms creation and storage costs
Electronic
Multi Printing System (e-MPS)
When
enabled, e-MPS enhances the workflow process by allowing
jobs to be stored, sent to a Virtual Mailbox, proofed
before final printing and re-printed on demand. It's
like having a virtual file cabinet on your output device!
Jobs are sent once over the network, greatly reducing
network traffic. Stored print jobs can be retrieved
from the device control panel, via an optional Bar Code
Reading or from the desktop.
